Working as retailer, manufacturer, wholesaler and agent simultaneously for most of that time. Ken is co-owner of hat brand Herald & Heart which manufactures millinery and operates from their shop in Rye (East Sussex) and Fulham (London). This gives Ken a retailer's eye when it comes to what sells and what doesn't, it also adds the advantage of a retailer's point of view, which is sometimes rare in an agent.Ken was responsible for launching the Stetson brand in the UK and laid most of the groundwork and foundations for them to continue their growth. He founded The Susquehana Hat Company specialising in felt hats.Working closely with European factories, Ken designs and develops the Herald & Heart men's range of cut and sew hats, and caps along with collections for other hat companies. Experience within the millinery, menswear, department stores and equestrian markets has seen him organising and manning trade and consumer show stands, and traveling the world looking for where great headwear can be found for the UK market.A past committee member of the British Hat Guild provided him a great working relationship with other hat manufacturers and businesses, Ken has also mentored many new companies in manufacturing, exporting and retailing.Current agent for Wigéns, Amanda Christensen, Garzini + Hunterson, Sunday Afternoon,Panizza, Framar, Borges & Scott, and Linney Headwear within the UK and global representative of Herald & Heart provides a busy life at the heart of the hat industry.
