That means: Simple: making things as simple as possible Practical: keeping it workable; applying ISO 9001 to your particular business and its context, using your existing systems and practices wherever possible and always with common sense Effective: your system needs to work with and for you. It has to support the business, not attempt to drive it! I like making quality easy and common sense, with the flexibility to help change and expand when needed. Rigidity or pointless bureaucracy? No, thanks. A good quality system must always fit your company and the way you work, rather than being driven solely by any Standard. My advice will ensure yours does; it won't tie you up in knots nor weigh you down in paperwork. Our client certification success rate speaks for itself: 100%. Zero nonconformities, zero hold points, zero re-audits. The guidelines we work by reflect our approach: Is it simple, practical and effective? Will this work well for our client? Does it add value, eg, reduce risk, cost or time? Is there an easier way to do this? Is it cost-effective? Will it minimise ‘paperwork' and maintenance? If it isn't, we don't do it, let alone charge for it. And no, we're not interested in doing as much work as possible to charge for, either.
