If processes are managed and people are led then organisations are governed.A well-governed organisation has a clear purpose,Its board and management are ethical, capable people who want to work with each other in the best interests of the organisation;Together, they promote a vision that is both exciting and challenging;They empower their people to perform and be accountable;They promote a lively culture and create healthy inclusive workspaces;They accept failure, expect feedback and strive to learn at each step.As a governance advisor, my role is to help directors and executives establish and refine their processes so that roles are clear, everyone understands how they want to work together and what matters each part of the organisation should handle.The aim is to ensure directors comply with the law and make decisions that are informed, considered and ethical particularly in areas that are complex and risky.As a leadership coach and mentor my role is to assist people to understand how their leadership is seen by others and then help them be their best with positive change that is beneficial to them, their stakeholders and the organisation.As a mentor, I help people reach their goals as an experienced guide, sounding board and resource.As a business advisor, my speciality is business development including the management of large scale business to business negotiations; evaluation of major capital projects and risk assessment and management.My ideal customer is a senior executive who reports to a board or director who is keen to make their governance more effective, who recognises that leadership is a journey of many steps. This may be someone who is stepping up to a leadership role, someone who wants to expand their reach and influence
