Marco Cortes has spent over three decades perfecting his unique approach to guitars and basses. Carving his first bass body with a broken coke bottle in Brazil, he built his intense passion into a sizeable instrument factory. When a severe economic crisis drove he and his wife out of the country, Marco became the first foreign worker in a Japanese instrument factory, working his way up to head of repairs. He finally settled in Dallas, Oregon, where he now builds some of the world's finest instruments and hand-wound pickups.
