Mares Foundation is the result of a long time dream of Cutberto Hernandez founder of Mares Mortgage and who received his B.S. in Oceanology at the U.A.B.C. School of Marine Sciences.The Mares Foundation main purpose is Charitable Educational Support & Training for Underprivileged Youth to assure that they become Adult leaders that promote a safe and clean world.Mares Mortgage became one of the benefactors of Museo Katsuo on the grounds of Cutberto's Alma Mater in Ensenada, Baja California Mexico and the Museum opened its doors in March 2016.Mares Foundation currently shares a common goal with Museo Katsuo: "Reverse the effects of pollution in Our Ocean by Educating Our Youth"This vision is becoming a reality, thanks to our financial support, donations from people in our community and a group of volunteers over 3,000 kids have received the basic education in Ocean Conservation. In addition, permanent exhibitions at Museo Katsuo are now available to present our vision to all visitors.The effort continues and now is a complete community providing the financial fuel for this ongoing effort. The results have surpassed our expectations, today in Baja a culture for a clean and safe ocean is present and continue to grow.
