The Marine Mammal Foundation's (MMF) Vision is to be a leading Australian marine mammal conservation organisation, protecting the marine environment through research, community engagement and education.MMF is a not-for-profit ACNC charity scientific and education organisation, listed on the Register of Environmental Organisation (with Deductible Gift Recipient status), ensuring what we do today, creates a better tomorrow. MMF conducts innovative and applied research; works with Australian and International scientists to establish and advance the knowledge, conservation and protection of Australia's marine mammals; applies research findings and learnings to achieve informed and effective conservation outcomes; raises community and stakeholder knowledge of marine conservation issues and empowers change through greater awareness and action opportunities; encourages and supports the next generation via education, inquiry-based and hands-on learning opportunities. Its robust and recognised marine science research also informs government and statutory authority policy and procedure.
