He has been practicing as a leadership and organization development consultant, and executive coach, over the past decade in a variety of organizational settings including government, healthcare, engineering, mining, refining, manufacturing, and non-profit sectors. He has experience with the design and facilitation of customized training programs, leadership development programs, performance management programs, culture change programs, coaching interventions, and small and large group facilitation, in unionized and non-unionized settings.Jim holds an Engineering degree from Queen's University, Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University, Master in Human Development from Fielding Graduate University, and a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University with a focus on leadership, coaching, and adult learning. Jim is an ICF Certified Executive Coach from Royal Roads University. He is accredited in over 20 individual, and team-based, psychometric and competency-based assessment systems, including engagement, personality, emotional intelligence, conflict, leadership agility, and "360" multi-rater feedback instruments.Jim is also an occasional volunteer education and training consultant to a United Nations organization.
