Marsh Farm has been successful in bidding for £48 million funding over a 10-year period through the New Deal for Communities Programme. This government funded regeneration programme aims to assist communities to develop a sustainable long term future with an improved quality of life and opportunities to live, work and learn. This is a community based programme that aims to bring together all of the different stakeholders within the community of Marsh Farm so that they can work in partnership to influence decisions and develop sustainable solutions to identified needs. Marsh Farm is a diverse community, reflecting a wide range of different BME and faith groups, all of which need to be engaged in the programme. Marsh Farm Community Development Trust administers the NDC programme at Marsh Farm on behalf of Go East, as well as delivering some services in house. The Trust headquarters are located at the Community Enterprise and Resource Centre, Marsh Farm. This was a disused factory that is now home to a number of community organisations and services, local businesses and the Trust along with meeting space for other local groups.
