MARSSE Tropical Timber® is a 24 year-old tropical timber tree farm in Umingan, Pangasinan, Philippines. Registered at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) as a tree plantations, we primarily provide Honduras Mahogany to local timber markets. Awarded by the DENR with the Likas Yaman (Natural Resources) Award for Most Outstanding Individual Initiative in Environmental Protection (2011), and Most Outstanding Individual Initiative in Ecological and Environmental Enhancement (2003). Timber Products. Ongoing since 1992, the family-owned and operated tree farm practices sustainable methods of tree farming that ensures a regular yield of authentic timber wood products. We can produce the following high-quality timber products: Round logs, Squared logs, Rough sawn lumber, and Custom cut wood. Launched in 2013, our processed wooden products are branded as SustainablyMade® (by MARSSE Tropical Timber). We produce premium kitchenware and home accessories that are fashioned from branches, trunks, stumps and roots so that no wood is wasted at the tree farm. Advocacy: Wood Resource Sustainability. We strive to support the sustainability of our country's wood resource by offering tree farming knowledge transfer services through our Sustainable Tree Farming Seminar and one-on-one consulting services to farmers and land owners. We also open our tree farm as a venue for School Field Trips and Eco-tours, where students can learn about how to work on ensuring a sustainable wood resource in the Philippines.
