Terry Martin started Martin-Young in 2015 after leaving 10 years at Diamond Amplification. While Diamond built predominately 100watt heads, leaning towards heavy rock & metal genres, Terry saw a trend in the industry towards lower wattage amps retaining the same great sound and tone of the big boys. The result is a product line that is more usable, gig-able, and sensible. Our combo amps are vintage based in the vein of the early British amp designs with modern updates to make it more playable and gig-able. Larger transformers and a more capable power supply provide for an effortless musical experience. We point-to-point wire every amp for durability, and use only the finest electrical components. Every part of our amp is built with overkilling attention to detail, resulting in a simply better sounding, better playing amp. Our customers know this. When tone is not a compromise and quality a must.Our Combo Amps are based on vintage tweed amplifiers of the Fender 60's era, but are meticulously modded with modern components and larger output transformers for a much more modern gain structure. The other improvements are in the tone stack, 6 position bright switch, treble, middle, bass, reverb, and presence puts you right in the pocket every time.
