Marula is a creative consultancy that is powered by youth, creativity, and local knowledge to solve community problems. As a social enterprise, we are based on three key pillars: research, collaborations, and storytelling (creative content). From our office in Kampala, our work takes us all over the country. We work on a project basis and are currently conducting research and projects to integrate the youth into agriculture for the global coffee & tea company Jacobs Douwe Egberts. Our focus areas include but are not limited to: Youth employment (specifically: the urban-rural disconnect, the lack of industry exposure, making agriculture 'cool' and profitable). Agriculture (specifically: coffee, circular farm management, evaluating value chains, rural access to services for farmers). Services: product/ service market research, local community research & mapping, consultancy, project development & implementation, CSR projects, creative campaigns and videos, social marketing.
