I am a tutor with a passion for helping students achieve success in mathematics. Whether your child is struggling with basic concepts, needs extra practice, or is preparing to take the ACT, I will work with the student to generate an individualized plan to enhance skills, promote confidence, and lessen math anxiety. I routinely have students who raise their math grade, increase their ACT math score, and reduce their stress regarding mathematics. My tutoring sessions are planned specifically for each student, depending on his or her needs. Before each session, I review the weekly assignments posted on your school's website. Generally, sessions begin with helping your student complete homework while addressing any difficulties and/or gaps in knowledge. Next, we review for upcoming quizzes and tests. Finally, if necessary, we practice basic skills such as mental math or facts fluency to help alleviate any math anxiety.I have a degree in Mathematics from Louisiana Tech University. I have over 10 years of tutoring and teaching experience.
