MASHAV, Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation, is responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the State of Israel's development cooperation programs. As one of the oldest international development agencies in the world, MASHAV is dedicated to providing developing countries with the best of Israel's experience in development and planning. MASHAV has become a significant contributor to key areas of Ghana's development. Its main objective is to contribute to Ghana's growth and achievement of the 2015 target of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Core areas of assistance MASHAV has provided in Ghana are:Agriculture, health, education and capacity building by providing training courses in Israel on a wide variety of subjects. In addition, MASHAV in Ghana operates the Ghanaian chapter of the Shalom Club - the international alumni network of for those who have benefited from training given by MASHAV since its establishment in 1958.
