Massachusetts Campus Compacts work encompasses a broad range of activities designed to increase the effectiveness of those working to make higher education institutions vital agents of civic renewal: * Training for faculty, staff, students, administrators, and community partners * Resources, including print and online white papers, grant announcements and student community service scholarships * Leadership training for students to become civically engaged * Capacity building through MACC AmeriCorps*VISTA members, infrastructure support, and more * Campus consultation to meet specific needs and research on effective practices * State and national policy work on issues relating to higher education Grants and funding for on-campus community service work * Partnerships with academic, community, business, and government leaders * Regional conferences, on-campus workshops, and faculty institutes
