Massachusetts Community Outreach Initiative Details

MCOI offers educational and community resources to currently or formerly incarcerated youth and adults, to help them bridge the transition from incarceration to community re-entry. Through its Entrepreneurship 101 Program, MCOI teaches free full-length introductory courses on entrepreneurship at a number of adult and juvenile correctional institutions and community resource centers in Boston (soon to be available in other Massachusetts communities). All students who complete the entrepreneurship course are eligible for MCOI's Business Advisor Program, which pairs students up with trained business mentors. MCOI will also offer job preparation and placement services to its clients.
