MasseReaction holds the sole rights to the US and World Patented ViPAR (Vertically integrated Photo Array Reactor), an algal photobioreactor that can take up over 3 million tonnes of CO2 in a 50 acre (20 hectare) footprint. This is the standard sized annual CO2 emission from a single average sized coal fired electric power plant.ViPAR has overcome all of the historic barriers to fully sustainable CO2 uptake and drop in renewable fuels production.ViPAR growth tubes can be tightly packed together and assembled into a module, as ViPAR reactor tubes are light emitting elements. The tubes receive their remote sourced light at perfect frequency and intensity. The light is then directed into the core of the reactor tubes where every algae cell is bathed in a virtually perfect growth environment.ViPAR modules can be stacked 60 feet high. The patented features of tightly packed tube modules, vertical scalability, and precision light and thermal control, provide efficiencies to ViPAR that multiply algal production to sustainable levels...something that previous technologies have never achieved at a utility scale. Housed in an insulated building made by Sprung Structures, we achieve the first, and critical, level of environmental control. These structures allow deployment into any region in the world from the tropics to the tundra. The algae is then processed into millions of gallons of drop in renewable jet, diesel and ethanol.
