The MassHire Metro South/West WorkforceBoard, as part of the statewide network ofemployment professionals, supports the regionaleconomy and brings together resources in orderto develop a skilled workforce, now and for thefuture.In accordance with the Workforce Innovationand Opportunity Act, members of the MassHireMetro South/West Workforce Board arebusiness and community leaders, prominenteducators, and organized labor officials. Theycreate innovative systemic change initiatives fortarget groups and industry sectors.Serving 43 cities and towns in the MetroSouth/West region, the board works as anintermediary—bringing together businessesand public institutions to find and implementsolutions to labor market problems andadvocating for policy change, while developingfinancing strategies for the communities of:Acton, Ashland, Bellingham, Bedford,Boxborough, Brookline, Canton, Carlisle,Concord, Dedham, Dover, Foxborough,Framingham, Franklin, Holliston, Hopkinton,Hudson, Lexington, Lincoln, Littleton,Marlborough Maynard, Medfield, Medway, Millis,Natick, Needham, Newton, Norfolk, Norwood,Plainville, Sharon, Sherborn, Southborough,Stow, Sudbury, Walpole, Waltham, Wayland,Wellesley, Weston, Westwood, and Wrentham.
