Matador Capital Management is a Dallas-based investment manager which advises Latin American hedged-equity and long-only strategies. Matador Latam Fund, L.P. is a long/short equity fund focused on Latin America. The Fund's objective is to grow and preserve capital in both up and down markets by taking a fundamental, rigorously-researched approach to long and short individual security selection. Matador invests across more than 13 economies and various industry groups, subject to minimum liquidity requirements. The Fund offers low volatility and uncorrelated returns, thus proving to be a unique diversification vehicle. Matador positions itself to capitalize efficiently on market dislocations while managing risk in a disciplined, consistent manner. Matador Capital Management is registered with the SEC and the CFTC and managed by Pedro Zevallos out of Dallas, Texas. Prior to launching Matador, Mr. Zevallos, a native of Lima, Peru, worked at Maverick Capital for nine years, seven of which he was solely responsible for the firm's Latin American efforts.
