Millions of low-income patients need prescription drugs but are unable to afford the high retail prices of brand-name pharmaceuticals. At the same time, charitable pharmacies (organizations that distribute surplus medications at lower prices) are not able to reach a majority of economically disadvantaged patients. MatchMeds is a patient-centered platform that serves as a bridge between safety-net clinics and underserved patients by aggregating pharma supply across clinics into a single streamlined web platform. The increase in search breadth connects patients with the medicine they need while reducing the waste clinics incur from lack of demand for a certain drug in their immediate geography. We have a mission to strengthen people's health by providing affordable prescription medication to all people who need them, ensuring medical equality in all sectors of healthcare.
