Materia studio is a furniture design studio based in Bucharest with an in-house production facility located in Transylvania. It has been established in 2014 by a collective of young creatives and entrepreneurs who share a passion for natural raw materials and sustainable design. We intend to grow our business and the community in which we operate in a sustainable way by supporting a way of doing business that is empowering to the individual and caring towards the environment. We are extremely conscious when sourcing our materials. The reclaimed wood is sourced from old buildings, bridges, and barns from Transylvania, while all other wood is FSC certified.Materia is the one of the winning businesses of the largest social enterprise competition in Romania, Fabricat in Tara lui Andrei, a project organized by OMV Petrom in partnership with NEsST Foundation Romania.
