Mathlers Society is a non-profit organization striving for the development and enhancement of mathematics education. Mathlers' vision is to induce the love of mathematics in students around the globe. Mathlers' mission is to remove fears and difficulties associated with mathematics, improve mathematical ability of students, and make mathematics easier, more interesting, enjoyable, and real life oriented, by teaching it through sports. From its inception, Mathlers has taken up two major tasks: Content Development and Mathematics Contests. Working in these two areas, Mathlers aspires to encourage students towards mathematics and make the subject easier and more interesting for them. The common thread that runs through both these areas is sports. In 2015, 756 students from 27 schools participated in Mathlers Showdown. This year i.e. 2016, around 3000 students from 100+ schools of Karachi will participate in this mathematical contest. The final event will be conducted on 14th August, 2016. Mathlers is a social entrepreneurship project. The primary aim of Mathlers, as stated in the vision, is promoting the love of mathematics, and not profit-making. In order to sustain the project and meet the expenses, our revenue generation is chiefly based on the model followed by media channels and social entrepreneurship giants such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube: sponsorship and advertisement. Mathlers offer advertisements on our products and events to the corporate sector and other organizations interested in funding educational endeavors. Thus, the beneficiaries of the project, i.e. students and learners, do not have to pay for the services. Mathlers also aims for the development of youth from educational institute and provide them skills, acumen and motivation to become leaders in their professional lives. In this way they can be a responsible citizens and better professional.
