Designed and implemented algorithms for a custom high-performance computer graphics engine at the core of a flight simulator system.• Provided system design, algorithm development, and software implementation for an orthodontal image processing system that processed orthodontal x-ray and photographic images to allow facial measurements to be quickly and accurately performed. Produced simulated "after-surgery" images to show patients the expected benefits of the procedure.• Led team which developed the prototype for a fully interactive virtual reality surgical training device. Implemented a robotic force feedback system for simulating the touch and feel of actual surgery. Developed software for robotic control of the tactile feedback subsystem.• Led team responsible for porting an existing C-language code base from a PC-based environment to a UNIX-based supercomputer. Completed the project significantly under the allotted time and budget.
