The Mayfield Yacht Club is located in Mayfield, New York on the Great Sacandaga Lake. The club was founded in 1930, the same year this large, 28 mile long lake was created by the Hudson River Regulating District (now Hudson River - Black River Regulating District.)We are a working club, not a marina. We have three scheduled work parties every year, and club members are encouraged to participate. We build and float our own docks, maintain the clubhouse and grounds, and perform most basic repairs needed about the club.We have a number of activities that include all members. We conduct a junior sailing program most every year, have a sailboat racing program for both large and small boat sailors, a women's sailboat race, a "powerboater" breakfast (the best!), and Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day parties.Contrary to the image of many yacht clubs, MYC is very informal. We have no restaurant or bar. We are proud to consider ourselves a family club.
