Situated on the western seaboard of the Republic of Albania, overlooking the Adriatic Sea and Mediterranean Sea beyond, MBM Port is transforming radically the region. Initially it started operating as Oil&Gas harbor and in 2019 MBM Port was upgraded to being a multi-functional terminal and it was given the right to accept, handle and process Bulk&General Cargo Vessels. The new Bulk&General Cargo Terminal will be ready to operate by mid 2021.The competitive advantage of MBM Port is its strategic geopolitical location because it is situated at the heart crossroads of trade between Europe and Asia. Behind the MBM Port stands Porto Romano Free Custom Zone which is a safe and stable-friendly destination for industrial and economic investments. MBM Port project is managed to be the main industrial port in Albania from the end of 2021 and a major gateway for investments in the region due to its strategic position, the Free Custom Zone attached to the port, the natural gate towards the market of the Balkan Peninsula (North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Greece, Serbia and Bulgaria).
