Financial Services - Dschang, West, Cameroon
MBURUKU is a crowdfunding platform for bankable projects carried by IDPs, refugees, stateless people and the socially disadvantaged (handicap, exclusion, precariousness). The start-up identifies, selects, trains and exposes project leaders in all areas of entrepreneurship with an emphasis on the following sectors: agribusiness, e-learning, IT, engineering, small businesses, etc. Considerable space (60%) is given to projects carried out by unemployed young girls and women. The objective is to allow beneficiaries to contribute to the development of their communities by sustainable micro-solutions to the problems they have identified in their environment. Funding comes from partners, project leaders, Internet users and the vast network of its main partner, PARADE. In the event of success, each beneficiary will have the mandate to employ at least 01 displaced or disadvantaged in his business and to contribute to the financing of other projects carried by the target layer. Our team has been working with internally displaced people in Cameroon since March 2019. The displaced and disadvantaged will upload their projects in video format to the platform, along with non-compulsory illustrations (text, logo). Internet users will have three funding options: donation, return on investment funding, counterpart funding or reward. Loan possibility will also be assessed.
