McCartin Lawn Service was started by Johnny McCartin in 2003 when he was 13 years old. It was Johnny's first experience as a business owner and a great one. Johnny grew to understand the meaning of value and the importance of interpersonal skills. He also learned basic business skills such as accounting, marketing, investing, and hiring. McCartin Lawn provided Johnny with a steady income throughout middle and high school. The company closed once Johnny went to college at the University of Pittsburgh in 2008.
