McDonald Structural Engineering provides high-quality structural engineering consulting services to architects, municipalities, institutions, and other clients. The ability to work with architects to develop creative solutions for difficult design conditions has resulted in a loyal group of repeat clients. The majority of the work of the firm and over 97 percent of the fees generated involves providing structural consulting services for repeat architectural clients, many of whom have had a working relationship with Eric McDonald for over twelve years. We have designed numerous educational facilities, residences, churches, swimming pool facilities, commercial office buildings, warehouses, hospitals, and shopping centers and have worked on many renovation projects. The primary expertise of the firm is building construction with an architectural emphasis utilizing, among others, cast-in-place and pre-cast concrete, structural and light gauge steel, masonry and timber for structural systems. The firm is certified to provide engineering services in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
