The McGill Arbitration Student Society (MASS) aims to promote scholarly and professional interest in arbitration, a consent-based dispute resolution method practiced both internationally and domestically. Arbitration is an exciting and growing area of legal practice that deals with issues of commercial, labour, and private international law, among many other disciplines. Founded in 2010, MASS organizes events examining topical issues in arbitration featuring world-renowned scholars and practitioners. Every February, MASS partners with the McGill Journal of Dispute Resolution to co-host a symposium on arbitration, held at a major Montreal law firm. Additionally, MASS hosts a variety of speakers and panel discussions at McGill throughout the year. Through its operations, MASS is committed to showcasing arbitration's wide use and potential across multiple fields of practice and in diverse cultural settings. La Société étudiante d'arbitrage de McGill (SÉAM) a pour but de promouvoir l'intérêt théorique et professionnel en arbitrage, une méthode de règlement des différends basée sur le consentement des parties qui est employée à l'intérieur et l'échelle internationale. L'arbitrage est un domaine de droit qui prend de l'ampleur. Elle traite notamment les questions de droit commercial, droit du travail, et droit international privé. Fondée en 2010, la SÉAM organise des événements qui abordent les sujets actuels en arbitrage. À cette fin, nous accueillons les chercheurs et les praticiens reconnus dans le domaine. Chaque février, la SÉAM et le Revue de règlement des différends de McGill présentent une conférence en arbitrage, qui a lieu chez l'un des cabinets d'avocats à Montréal. En plus, la SÉAM offre une série de conférences et discussions en groupe durant l'année scolaire. Par son travail, la SÉAM vise à faire valoir le potentiel et l'applicabilité de l'arbitrage dans plusieurs domaines de droit, et à travers divers contextes culturels.
