McGill Students for World Vision (MSWV) is a student-run, nonprofit organization at McGill University. We are founded with the mission to help achieve the goals set by World Vision—a humanitarian charity organization dedicated to working with children, families, and communities worldwide. We set out to tackle the causes of poverty and injustice, and are determined to improve the lives of all poor children and families regardless of religion, race, ethnicity and gender. Our key activities include fundraising, advocacy, and education within the McGill community. In the past, we've had summer volunteering trips to Colombia to work alongside Youth With a Mission to create better infrastructure, implement educational programs, and make lasting bonds with families in the neighbourhood. Throughout the school year, we've had movie screenings, speaker panels, coffee nights, Meaningful Meals, sandwich drives, clothing donation drives, sales tablings, and local volunteering with Montreal-based organizations to help connect students to their surroundings. All of us here at MSWV are driven by the strong urge to make a difference in the world. It is a pleasure to have you on board; let's work together to have our voices heard!----------------GET CONNECTED WITH US- On our Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mcgillworldvision/- On our Website:http://ssmu.mcgill.ca/worldvision/contact-us/
