McLay & Company was a consulting company owned by Adèle McLay. The consultancy specialised in strategic change management and transformation projects, particularly project managing large corporate/organisational transformations for clients. Other consulting projects included undertaking general business consulting; providing small and medium sized companies with outsourced human resources advice and support; undertaking senior and middle management search and recruitment. Key Highlights 1) Supporting major corporate clients with significant organisational transformations. This included leading projects on behalf of clients to transform their organisations by supporting/driving their strategic planning processes and re-designing the organisation structures and processes to reduce staff and increase organisational efficiency and effectiveness; developing performance management and reward structures; designing leadership capability programmes and processes and assessing staff against those programmes; managing large scale recruitment projects for staff at all levels; managing and undertaking executive search and recruitment for senior executives. 2) At the commmencement of Fonterra Co-operative Group in 2001/02, project managing the establishment of various key business units, including the development of organisation structures, position descriptions, recruitment and integration of teams of senior staff for: Group Treasury; Business Services; Shareholder Services. 3) Developing and implementing best practice methodologies for the assessment, measurement and reporting of competencies, resulting in 'inspired choices' being delivered to clients for their recruitment solutions. 4) Personally acting as a mentor and business confidante to many of the company's senior executive clients.
