McMaster Orphan Sponsorship Program Details
McMaster Orphan Sponsorship Program are a group of students who are inspired to make a positive difference in the world and have come together with a common goal in mind, to help those who are suffering and vulnerable worldwide. We are inspired by the prospect of unity with people of all faiths, race and ethnicities, to work together for a cause that is greater than all of us. We have partnered up with SOS Children's Villages Canada, a federally registered Canadian charity that is recognized nationally and internationally for its dedication to providing a loving home for every child since its founding in 1949. SOS has provided over 80,000 orphaned and abandoned children with loving and nurturing homes in over 134 countries around the world. Our campaign is called 30 for 60 (30 Days for 60 Orphans), and this will be our second year of operation. In our first year, we aimed to sponsor 30 orphans. We surpassed our goal raising $16,341 and sponsoring 37 orphans around the world. This year we intend to go even bigger! The campaign will be 30 days in length starting on January 8th, 2018 and ending on February 9th, 2018.
