Moreton-Deakin Associates are a family run RIBA chartered practice established in Hebden Bridge for over 40 years. They are highly regarded in the Calder Valley due to their honesty and professionalism but also their personal approach towards their clients. The two Directors Dennis and Sam are "not only designers but have commercial acumen and the ability to make a scheme work financially, whether that a small extension or a large health care scheme." They each have considerable experience in negotiations with local authorities, especially within planning departments and other bodies such as the environment agency and English Heritage. Areas of work: Residential: Development and redevelopment of small to large scale sites including viability studies through to certification. Also heavily involved in small scale home extensions and one off new build and converted large houses. Commercial: New build office buildings, industrial units. Health Care: PFI Health Centres, MDA architects were the lead architects in the countries first PFI health centre, which then led to subsequent medical centre PFI schemes from the initial feasibility study to completion. Also heavily involved in the design and build of care home facilities. Conservation areas: Both large scale residential and commercial town centre developments we have a sympathetic apprach to design within conservation areas with a realistic approach towards the viability of the project. Recent expansion into obtaining all certification for HEP schemes. Mill conversions: experience in conversion to both residential and commercial.
