In 2017, MFTH's head chef and father, Vito, received a successful heart transplant at Advocate Christ Medical Center. After an overwhelming display of care by doctors, nurses and surgical staff, the Guarino family vouched to give back to the healthcare community for their heroic service.Upon hearing that a dear friend and Northwestern Hospital Nurse was in need of an uplifting boost from working non-stop, around the clock to fight Covid-19 on the front line, the Guarinos cooked a pan of pasta, & delivered it to her door ...then, the idea was born.After a successful GoFundMe Covid-19 campaign, we realized how impactful and meaningful a homemade meal from a fellow community member could be. In hopes to continue serving our community and provide meals to those in need, MFTH was awarded 501(c)(3) status.Now, we are expanding & delivering on our commitment to provide home made meal packages to our community members in need
