Meals on Wheels Chicago (MOWC) addresses the unmet needs of Chicago's homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities through a collaborative, philanthropic effort focused on raising private funds to supplement limited public dollars for city programs that serve them. This is accomplished by private fundraising efforts through special events, corporate and community partnerships, and individual giving to support in-home meal delivery for homebound seniors and people with disabilities, as well as home modifications to increase accessibility for individuals with disabilities. MOWC helps these vulnerable populations maintain independent, self-sufficient, and dignified lives in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.
