Mechanical Engineering Society was framed to promote and practice skill development activities for the growth of the budding technocrats of the Department.Being, one of the oldest societies of NIT JAMSHEDPUR, it works under the aegis of the highly experienced faculty members of the department. M.E.S. attempts to expose and prepare the future mechanical engineers to their tomorrow's real world challenges.To bring the same into effect it organises various events all year round promoting technical awareness and scientific temper to deal with problems. Through its events, it even attempts to motivate the students of the department to combine their technical knowledge with practical skills to nurture a dedicated future Mechanical Engineer in them who acts as the best bridge between Science and Society.The Society has undergone various phases of transformation keeping in mind the advancements in academia, research industry, fulfilling and stimulating inclusive growth to promote global development.
