Computer Software - San Mateo, California, United States
Mediabolic was a pioneer in digital home entertainment software and helped to revolutionize the way consumers enjoy content on their TVs. The company's technologies were embedded into familiar devices in the entertainment center -- TVs, stereos, DVRs, set-top boxes, and DVD players -- to enable them to share and play back music, photos and videos stored digitally on PCs and the internet. Mediabolic helped to establish the DLNA standard for network-connected entertainment. Mediabolic was acquired by Macrovision (now named Rovi Corporation) in 2007.
