MCWA was founded in 1989 in the USA by a group of men and women who wanted to bring physical as well as spiritual healing to sub-Saharan Africa. MCWA established a clinic and hospital in the village of Meskine that opened in 1994. In January 2020, the 120-bed hospital in the Far North Province of Cameroon was donated to another faith-based organization that owns and operates hospitals and clinics in Cameroon. MCWA continues to work in the country of Cameroon with like-minded religious organizations and individuals.
