Medical Sapiens is a medical support software system that has as its principal objective an increase in clinic diagnostic certainty. Medical Sapiens generates an ordered list of clinical diagnoses using patient's syntoms and signs.This technological solution is a computerised tool that allows improve medical diagnoses using a key group of described symptoms and indicators presented by the patient within an additive medical context (i.e. adding information that increases diagnostic certainty) which allows for a better and faster way of addressing a possible diagnosis.The effects (advantages) of the use of this approach are:• Reduction in medical error ratio by increasing diagnostic certainty• Reduction in patient health risks • Increase in safety and quality of medical care• Reduction in costs caused by incorrect diagnosis of medical condition• Reduction in costs to the healthcare system (public or private)• Reduction in insurance/legal costs• Lessening the difficulties caused by the lack of medical specialists in the country, particularly regionally.As developed, the system´s most valuable asset is the access to a database of over 1000 medical conditions that have been assembled based on 35 human diagnostic models.
