The Association Meditaeuropa presents itself in the form of a Laboratory for the dialogue between peoples and cultures within the Euro-Mediterranean area. Meditaeuropa has become an association since the first months of 2007, with the purpose of achieving the following main goals: 1. promoting and reinforcing the dialogue, interaction, recognition, mutual respect and cooperation among peoples and cultures within the Euro-Mediterranean area; 2. identifying, developing and promoting spaces for cultural encounters among all Euro-Mediterranean countries and their people, with the specific purpose of fighting stereotypes, xenophobia and racism; 3. contributing to the Barcelona Process in terms of visibility within society and the cultural and academic world; 4. promoting the Euro-Mediterranean dimension of Ravenna and its territory; 5. encouraging the creation of a wider network of partner cities and cultural projects involving Ravenna and the other cities of the Euro-Mediterranean area.
