The Mediterranean Rail Freight Corridor is the 6th Corridor in the European Rail Freight network, aiming at making international rail freight transport more competitive and attractive.The structure of the corridor is established as follows:-6 Countries: Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary;-8 Infrastructure Managers and 1 Allocation Body:-ADIF, LFP Perthus (by December 2017) SNCF RESEAU,OC'VIA, RFI, SŽ-INFRA, HŽI (by November 2016), MAV and VPE;-Line distance: over more than 8 000 km, Algeciras (ES) - Záhony (HU);Almería – Valencia / Algeciras / Madrid – Zaragoza / Barcelona – Marseille – Lyon – Torino – Milano – Verona – Padova / Venezia – Triese / Koper – Ljubljana/Rijeka – Zagreb – Budapest – Zahony (Hungarian-Ukrainian border).-Diversionary routes: 650 km;-More than 100 freight terminals-5 European Core Cargo Seaports and 2 important Riverports-The most interconnected Rail Freight Corridor (7 RFCs interconnected)
