Dr. Christopher A. (Chris) Park is a native of Mobile and attended St. Paul's Episcopal School where he was Valedictorian and an acclaimed scholar athlete. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Virginia as an Interdisciplinary Echols Scholar where he graduated after receiving numerous other awards including graduating "With Distinction." He returned to Alabama for medical school at The University of Alabama School of Medicine at UAB where the accolades continued, including the Galbraith Award for Excellence in Surgery. Dr. Park then moved to Winston-Salem where he trained at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in General Surgery and all aspects of Plastic Surgery including Reconstructive Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Pediatric Reconstruction, Hand Surgery, Microsurgery, and Endoscopic techniques under the leadership of Dr. Malcolm Marks, Dr. Louis Argenta, and Dr. Wayne Meredith. After his years of training as a resident and as Chief Resident, Dr. Park then advanced his education by traveling to learn from several of the leaders in Plastic Surgery, including Dr. Luis Vasconez, Dr. Bob Allen, and Dr. George Weston. He then returned to Wake Forest University School of Medicine and served as a Clinical Instructor educating plastic surgery residents and performing cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. He is proud to be board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.He has given numerous academic presentations on multiple facets of plastic surgery in national academic, local interdisciplinary, and public arenas and is regarded as an expert in plastic surgery who stays abreast of the latest technologies in his field and applies them appropriately. While at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, he expanded the comprehensive breast reconstruction program to include all options for breast reconstruction, including Tissue Expander/Implant Reconstruction, TRAM (Transverse Rectus Abdominis Myocutaneous) Flaps, Latissimus Dorsi flaps, and microsurgical breast reconstruction (Free TRAM, DIEP [Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator], GAP [Gluteal Artery Perforator] flaps) and propelled the reconstruction of major defects due to cancer, trauma, and degeneration.Dr. Park currently sees patients in Mobile (3153 Dauphin Street) and Fairhope (411 N.
