The spinning mill was founded in 1969 and is located in Belgium, in the heart of the European carpet industry. MEFIL manufactures high quality spun yarns, woolen and semi-worsted, with special characteristics (design, construction and color) in 100% wool, 100% synthetic or blends (with natural fibers such as Tencel©). From rawwhite, solid colours, heathers, berber styles to marl yarns. But we also can intermingle all kind of filaments. We have the possibility to make almost unlimited varieties of twists, hard twist and multiple twist. Yarns can be dry spun, hank scoured, set, felted and Periloc© felted. We supply floor covering manufacturers worldwide: for broadloom and rugs, for commercial, residential, hospitality, Marine, Carpets and Aviation use. Our Market area has expanded over the last years from Europe to Africa, Asia, Australia and North America. Mefil can deliver relatively small quantities to customers so they can minimize stock and reduce working capital. Its location and flexible organisation enables Mefil to react immediately. MEFIL Spinning N.V. acquired in 2013 the Periloc© yarn felting production line, which makes our offer to carpet manufactures more complete. The new investment in the Periloc® technology expands the already impressive capabilities of MEFIL to offer special yarns.
