Founded in 1989, Megatrade™ is a vehicle for the securities industry to aggregate its purchasing power to secure superior pricing and service levels for communications services. In June of 2004, Megatrade Services Corporation (a not-for-profit, non-share capital corporation) was registered in the province of Ontario.The collective buying power of the Megatrade share group has resulted in savings of 26% to 90% for individual members. Through the Megatrade program, 120 organizations (including banks, brokerage firms, information vendors, exchanges, clearing and settlement organizations and mutual fund companies) purchase approximately 10,000 dedicated high speed digital communications circuits reaching over 100 cities across Canada, the U.S. and overseas.
