Government Administration - Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
Megro's goal is to strengthen organisations with the skills and professional development they need through targeted training, partnerships and advice. Megro was the first training provider in South Africa to do a Skills Development Facilitators (SDFs) course and has a proven track record of success in developing templates for the formulation of workplace skills plans. Megro has trained over 3,000 facilitators in this process. We bring together diverse and complementary skills and experience. In addition to a broadly experienced advisory board, Megro is able to draw upon experienced sector specialists through an existing national and international network of contacts. The network can be called upon to conduct organisational skills assessment, market research and training needs analysis, as well as to facilitate courses and assess learners. Megro is accredited by South Africa's services SETA, which allows it to operate as a training provider throughout the country. We have both unit-standard aligned courses and non-unit-standard courses, and specialise in course customisation. In South Africa, there is an unmet need at present to match up enthusiastic, though sometimes inexperienced, frontline organisation volunteers and professionals with training, partnerships, skills development programs and financial resources from both public and private sources. Megro has begun working more and more in the development sector with: corporate social investment departments, frontline organisations (NGOs and NPOs) government departments, international institutions, and donors. Specifically, the focus is on capacity building around appropriate business procedures, practices, and therefore institutional sustainability. Megro matches up available partners and helps overcome obstacles to successful collaboration thus aiding countries in meeting their MDGs(Millennium Development Goals).
