Mehrdar Art and Production, is a name behind many untold stories that has left an un-doubtful impact on various communities across Pakistan. Within a very short span of time Mehrdar Art & Production became the voice of the common man living within the metropolitan city of Karachi. Mehrdar Art & Production laid its foundations on documentary film production in 2012 by encouraging and promoting socially motivated content within the society. Mehrdar Art & Production was one of the fist organizations that brought up the needs to fashion journalism, news and media to incentivize the community of Lyari to come together to reclaim the repute of their neighborhood. This was the same approach kept within all other communities that Mehrdar Art & Production worked in. The organization has constantly been doing this through initiating photo newsletters based on positive socio-cultural activities, documentaries, web-series, literature festivals, youth training on civic action and campaigning on social change through digital and print media. Since then Mehrdar Art & Production experienced drastic levels of changes throughout Karachi, Northern Sindh and Balochistan. During this time the rise and fall of extremism and terrorism have been greatly explored by the organization through its constant reinforcement of media and positive activities within marginalized communities of Karachi such as Lyari & Ibrahim Hyderi, while also wit work within Balochistan and northern Sindh regions.Mehrdar Art & Production is committed and devoted to highlight the voices of marginalized communities and assure individuals about its commitment towards breaking stereotypical boundaries. We wish to create a bridge between audiences during their highs and lows to shed light on positive engagement through social and cultural aspects.
