Established in 1999, Meisterbäcker has a passion for bakery and pastry. This stems from the joy and challenge of surprising our customers with a range of quality baked goods created from just a few basic ingredients. But regardless of the reason, the decision to work in the field is grounded in a love for food. Working in a professional bakery is different from baking at home. It takes specialized knowledge and practiced skills to maintain quality. It helps to be sensitive to the sights, sounds and smells of the bakery – attentive to the little details around you that can inspire that one ingredient with great flavor. Experienced bakers, for example, listen to the sound of cake batter being beaten in a bowl, knowing that changes in sound mean changes in the batter itself. They push and pummel bread dough to feel how it responds to their touch. They use smells from the oven to judge when baking is nearly complete, and they sample their finished products before presenting them to the customer. With knowledge of both Western and Eastern baked goods – ranging from biscuits, pastries, tarts and cakes, to yeast dough and batter – we produce a wide range.
