However, it is facing many serious challenges coming from unsustainable agriculture practices and urbanization, especially the threating reason, climate change, which may cause a sinking delta in the near future.Mekong Delta is also known as an area with low education level, most of the poor and ignorant farmers who are losing their jobs due to urbanization, subsidence and salinization seems innocent to the changes of society and nature.The concerns about vulnerable farmers urge us to think about creating a sustainable livelihood for local people via developing the extraction industry from herbal trees which can live well in hard environment.Mekong Nest Co.
