Book Week always features authors both emerging and award-winning, famous and unknown, familiar and unexpected, with works Jewish by author or by theme. Discussions, readings and performances of books, poetry, songs, and film shine a universal light on Jewish issues and give a Jewish perspective on common collective experience.Our aim at Melbourne Jewish Book Week is to encourage attendance by members of the broader community who are passionate about writing in all its forms. In a program appealing to every generation, we hope to inspire multicultural dialogue that opens a two-way window into and out of the Jewish community.
