Kasy Model Schools, which started with just five(5) pupils, grew steadily along with her desire to move a step forward. The school moved a notch ahead with the establishment of a Primary School at the same location in the Year 1999 to enhance continuity of the meritorious academic work in the Nursery Section.The running of the the then Kasy Model Nursery and Primary school was however based on tentative approval by the Rivers State Ministry of Education since the Site was a temporary one.The School, since the establishment of the primary section has turned out four sets of graduands who have gained admission into various reputable secondary schools and are still flying the banner of the school high as regards academic excellence and character moulding.The long cherished objective of moving the school to a permanent site- No 5 IBB Lane, GRA Phase III, Port-Harcourt, A beautiful and serene environment for learning, was finally achieved by the grace of God on the 4th of November, 2002 which fell within the 2002/2003 Academic Session precisely.This feat has therefore given the indefatigable Proprietress a sense of accomplishment and fulfilment.Subsequently, the name was also changed from KASY MODEL SCHOOL to MELLY MODEL SCHOOL in the same academic session the school moved to the permanent site.
