Prior to founding MAC, Nick was an integral part of the development, acquisition, and asset management team at Bucksbaum Properties. He reported directly to the President and John Bucksbaum (former CEO of General Growth Properties), was responsible for all company underwriting and related due diligence regarding new development and acquisition opportunities, asset management of the existing portfolio of ~$750 million in AUM, and originating off and on-market opportunities, including one of Common's first ground up co-living projects.Nick has held positions at:-Bucksbaum Properties-HUBB NYC Properties-JBG Companies (now JBG Smith)-Dome Equities-Principal Financial Group Prior to his full-time experience, Nick graduated from the University of Iowa with a double major in Finance and Economics. He graduated in the top 2.0% of his class with Magna Cum Laude honors through achieving a 3.91 cumulative, 4.11 Finance, and 4.17 Economics GPA. He also holds one of the highest ever-recorded single semester GPA's at the University (4.28). Lastly, he is a first-generation college graduate from a small-town of ~7,400 people in northeast Iowa.
